In Between

A space in transition. Observing matter, structure and transformation through acts of demolition and reconstruction.

In Between documents a phase of transformation rather than a completed state. Developed over a period of approximately two and a half years, the project follows the demolition and reconstruction of SIR – La Farnesina, focusing exclusively on the transitional condition of the site.

The work deliberately avoids both the “before” and the “after,” concentrating instead on acts of removal and construction, on materials, processes and structural details.

Architecture is approached here as a temporary condition: an accumulation of traces, gestures and provisional forms. The images are not intended as architectural documentation, but as observations of matter under transition, where function is momentarily suspended and structure becomes the primary subject.

The project is part of a broader body of work developed over several years, commissioned by SIR – La Farnesina.
